The "offshore oil 112 single point mooring monitoring and prediction system" independently developed by CNOOC Gaotai company (hereinafter referred to as Gaotai company) operated smoothly and data acquisition and transmission was smooth. The system passed the offshore acceptance on January 30, 2013. It is the only monitoring and prediction system designed for underwater mild steel arm single point mooring system in the world.
The system successfully realizes the tailored design of underwater mild steel arm single point mooring system, and can monitor all indexes in the whole process and all directions. The system consists of four modules, including sensor module, data acquisition and transmission module, data management module and response prediction and loading optimization module. It can realize high-precision real-time monitoring of marine environmental conditions, FPSO six degrees of freedom motion and position, single point mooring force, single point superstructure vibration and other information.
According to Zhang Yigong, general manager of Gaotai company, the system can also quickly give the motion state of FPSO and the stress of mooring system according to the input environmental conditions and different loading and unloading conditions, and can provide operators with FPSO loading and unloading suggestions in extreme environments.
The underwater mild steel arm single point mooring system adopted by "offshore oil 112" was officially put into operation in July 2004, and the new and old single point mooring system will be replaced in 2014. "The monitoring and forecasting system we designed will monitor various indicators in the operation of new and old single points in real time, ensure the safe wintering of old single points, verify the design indicators of new single points and ensure the smooth operation of new single points," Zhang Yigong said.
Up to now, the system has operated reliably and stably, and a large number of field data have been obtained, which provides favorable data support for the safe operation of single point mooring system.
Gaotai company has also developed "offshore oil 111" and Enping FPSO single point mooring monitoring and prediction system. After passing the acceptance, it will make up for the application gap of this type of system in turret single point mooring system in the South China Sea. This also indicates that the company has mastered the design, development and integration capabilities of mild steel arm and inner turret single point mooring monitoring and prediction system, and can provide various technical services including system design, procurement support, system integration and development, installation support and key equipment to customers at home and abroad.
