Single point mooring system refers to the system that keeps FPSO (floating production storage and unloading device) rotating freely around the fixed point under the combined action of wind, wave and current. As the central link of FPSO, its structural integrity is very important. Due to the limitation of underwater detection, the problem of the system is often found in the "qualitative change". How to make an effective "physical examination" of the system has always been a "heart disease" of oilfield operators. At present, the mooring monitoring and Prediction Technology launched by the technical center of CNOOC development oil production company (hereinafter referred to as the technical center) can monitor the safety status of single point mooring system in real time and effectively cure this "heart disease".
Mooring monitoring and prediction technology is similar to "dynamic ECG" inspection technology. It measures the safety of the whole system by "fixed-point" monitoring at key parts of the mooring system. Mooring monitoring and prediction technology is an integration of four core technologies: on-site monitoring technology, sensor integration technology, real-time data acquisition and display technology and risk-based prediction technology. It can continuously monitor the environmental data in the operating sea area, the movement process of FPSO and the stress status of key components for 24 hours, and can find "internal injuries" that are not easy to find in routine detection. It is an important tool for clinical analysis of mooring system An important objective basis for judging "health status".
It is understood that the traditional detection methods are mainly routine appearance detection, and the detection items and categories are relatively single, which can not find the hidden dangers in the "quantitative change period" in time.
Therefore, the technical center has specially established a project team of "FPSO single point mooring on-line monitoring system" to test "offshore oil 112" and "offshore oil 113" FPSOs with the support of the development and production department and the General Research Institute of CNOOC.
Through this technology, technicians can collect the environmental data of the operating sea area and the data related to FPSO movement in real time. After centralized analysis and processing of the data, they can predict the safety of the mooring system and put forward active countermeasures.
In addition to the on-line monitoring function, the data obtained can play an important role in mooring system assessment, the improvement of the complete environmental database of each FPSO operation sea area, loading and loading optimization before the arrival of typhoon, mooring system safety prediction, etc.
At present, mooring monitoring and prediction technology has been applied to "offshore oil 113" and "offshore oil 112" FPSOs, and the new "offshore oil 118" FPSO has also "customized" this technology in the ship design and construction stage.

At the same time, carry out technical research such as' nondestructive testing of mooring steel cables' to promote the integrity management of single point mooring system."
